Never let your guard down when it comes to scammers

National Consumer Protection Week is coming up (March 1–7). It offers a good excuse for us to remind you to always keep your guard up when it comes to possible scams. The bad guys are very sophisticated and are constantly coming up with new tricks to steal your money.

One of the most important things to remember is we NEVER contact you – by phone or email – asking for your credit/debit card number, checking account info or other personal information. And we never require the immediate use of a prepaid debit or gift card, or ask you to transfer money by a payment app. We have a variety of authorized payment options, and we do not make live phone calls to demand payment.

You can also always check your online account by signing in at my.lge-ku.com or by using our automated phone system anytime day or night by calling us and pressing 1-2-1. Business customers should press 2-2-1.

If you believe you have been scammed, report it to local law enforcement and then contact us to make us aware.
