Meter accessibility: A clear path to help ensure accurate bills

We work hard to make sure your monthly bill is accurate. But did you know there’s something easy you can do, right at home, to help us out? Ensuring your meters can be easily accessed by our technicians is a simple and effective way to help you receive accurate bills each and every month. That means no vegetation or other blockages at least six feet in front and within two feet of each side of your meters. Also, always be sure our technicians can safely get to your meters if they are located behind a locked gate or if you keep a pet in the area. (The date range for your next meter reading can be found on the top-right portion of your bill.)

While meters must be accessible between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, we prefer 24/7 access, just in case we need to make off-hour repairs, respond to an emergency or correct a safety hazard.
